Ashwin Shanbhag
A lawyer by profession, Ashwin has spent more than 14 years mentoring students in public speaking, debate and Model United Nations. He is one of the few Indians to chair at the global level at conferences including Oxford Model United Nations, UK (twice); London International Model UN; Harvard Model UN India; and Ivy League Model UN India, where he also served as Under Secretary General.
As a mentor, he has trained several award-winning delegates and delegations — including at Oxford MUN, UK (thrice); Harvard MUN India (Best Delegation, 2015 and 2016); and Ivy League MUN 2016 (Outstanding Delegation). He has worked with students from over 120 schools across India, including Scindia School, Gwalior; Scindia Kanya Vidyalaya; Mayo College Girls School; Sir Mutha School; Lady Andal School, Chennai; Ecole Globale; Vidya Devi Jindal; DPS Pathankot; Assam Valley School; YPS Mohali; Vidya Shilp Academy; and other prominent institutions.
His cross-section of skills as a debate coach, MUN expert and practicing lawyer helps students think critically, argue persuasively and present with confidence.
